Altyn-Emel National Park

Altyn-Emel National Park is one of Kazakhstan’s most diverse nature reserves, located about 250 km from Almaty. It is known for the Singing Dune, which produces a hum in the wind, as well as the colorful Aktau and Katutau mountains, formed by ancient volcanic activity. The vast steppe is home to wild gazelles, kulans, and rare birds, offering a unique landscape of desert and mountains.
