Burkhan-Bulak is the highest waterfall in Kazakhstan, located in the upper gorge of the Kora River near the town of Tekeli, 4–5 hours from Almaty. The cascade falls from a height of more than 100 meters and is surrounded by sheer cliffs, pine forests, and alpine meadows. The road to the site follows a scenic mountain serpentine with spots for photos and picnics.
Opening hours: Open 24 hours (best time — May–September).
