About

The A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts is the largest and most important art museum in Kazakhstan, located in Almaty. Its collection includes more than 25,000 works: from traditional Kazakh painting and Soviet-era art to European and Eastern masterpieces. Named after the country’s first professional artist, Abylkhan Kasteyev, the museum offers a calm and spacious atmosphere for exploring the region’s visual heritage.

Opening hours: Tuesday–Sunday, 10:00–18:00. Monday — closed.
