Kairak Waterfall · Turgen Gorge

Kairak Waterfall is the largest and most impressive waterfall in Turgen Gorge, about 90 km east of Almaty. Formed by the Bozgul River cutting through layers of rock, its water drops nearly 30 meters into a forested canyon. The trail to the waterfall is about 8 km and passes through pine forest and a river ford — a rewarding hike for nature lovers.
