Kok-Zhailau Plateau

Kok-Zhailau is a scenic plateau between Medeu and Shymbulak, a short walk from Almaty. Surrounded by pine forests and alpine meadows, it offers panoramic views of the city and the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau. The trail is moderately easy and very popular with locals for weekend hikes, picnics, and outdoor recreation.
